Reviewing Recorded Video (MWA-Pro)

MWA-Pro is the program for reviewing recorded video — whether it's still on the vehicle or on a hard drive you've removed.

A short video walkthrough will go here.

Don't have MWA-Pro yet? See Downloads.

Reviewing video from a removed hard drive

  1. Plug the hard drive into your computer using the SATA-to-USB download cable.
  2. Open MWA-Pro and click Select Folder.
  3. Click the arrow next to the hard drive to expand it, and choose the month/date you want.
  4. Browse the clips and double-click one to play it.

Understanding the file names

Clips are named like 000000000000000-221103-001500-003000-10F401000000, which means: serial - YYMMDD - start time - end time - camera number. So 221103 is Nov 3, 2022, and the two times are when that clip starts and ends.

Things you can do with a clip

  • Play in slow motion or fast forward (adjustable playback speed)
  • Step through frame by frame to catch a single moment
  • Take a snapshot (save a still image)
  • Clip a section and save just that part
  • Export to MP4 so it plays on any computer or phone
  • Zoom in with the toolbar button or your mouse wheel
  • Adjust volume, go full screen, and view a clip's details (metadata)

To share video with someone outside your organization, export to MP4 — it opens on virtually any device without special software.
